Team Couloir was formed in 2002. Together, Mr. Cole and Mrs. Waite bring a culmination of personal and professional experiences to Browns River.
Mrs. Marcia Waite
This year will be my 8th full year at BRMS. I originally came to BRMS as Scott’s student teacher and haven’t been able to tear myself away since. I love the team we have built together and the community we teach.
I currently live in Richmond with my husband Tim, our three year old son, Crosby and our one year old daughter, Lily. Richmond keeps us nice and close to Burlington and the busy life it has to offer but also close to the outdoors where we love to be. In my free time, I am focused on being a good mom and I can be found (although less frequently these days) on the trails, hiking, biking, skiing. When the weather is warm, I try to take advantage of beautiful Lake Champlain; sailing, and swimming (or, work on my gardens). Weekend trips are normal, after all I am Canadian, and love to travel north of the border to visit my family. Most of my family is in Quebec (yes, I speak French). I love to travel and discover new places and faces.
I have a Bachelors degree, majoring in Sociology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a Masters in education from Saint Michael's. I have worked in other schools as a substitute teacher, and as an individual and general assistant.
